The green area around the complex: routes, listening seats and music stations, in the recovery of the former Eridania sugar factory.
Nature and architecture, in the heart of Parma
The recovery programme for the former Eridania sugar factory complex involved the entire surrounding green area. Thanks to the requalification of the building and plant heritage, Parma is set to gain a Music Park with “stations” for small music groups, listening seats and routes for “musical walks”.
The park is enhanced by striking natural scenery, such as the “water-lily garden” obtained from the old settling tanks, or by historic structures relocated with new functions, like the nineteenth-century iron canopy of the historic Ghiaia market.
